Meet Lola

All about Lola

Lola is a 2 years, 5 months-old female large mixed breed. She weighs in at 60 pounds and has been with us for 160 days.

YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY, BABY! This good looking, young gal with the sleek, smooth coat always has a smile on her face & is ready for action. She is super friendly, keenly intelligent, alert, & housebroken. Lola came to MLAR a bit shy & unsure of herself. But now that volunteers & staff are working with her, Lola is quickly coming out of her shell. At first she was fearful of the Home School Room, possibly because Lola may never have been inside of a home. But after just two visits to Home School, Lola has turned into a different dog. She loves playing with balls & soft dog toys. She aces all the puzzles in which bits of food are hidden. And she has learned "sit", "touch", "find it", & "place" (lie down). Because she is very alert & highly motivated for treats, she will probably be easy to train further. Lola loves busy activities so much that her tail never stops wagging while she is engaged in action. Lola's ideal home would have an experienced dog owner, a nice fenced-in yard where she can play & burn off some energy, & people who have the time to play with her. Because she is strong & muscular, she would probably do well with older children or no children. Lola has come a very long way here at MLAR & will flourish even more with the love & consistency provided by the right family.
